We all know that berries have high anti-oxidant values which are great for our health. If you cannot have the fresh fruit, the next healthier option is to have it in the juice or tea form. The Lunar New Year celebrations may be over but taking care of our skin should not just be a yearly affair. It is the best if you could visit the salon every month or at least every two months to have your regular facial so as to keep your skin at optimal conditions. Your beautician can also highlight any issues you may have with your skin immediately so that you can seek suitable facial treatments early .



Back at the so familiar, cozy, relaxing and friendly atmosphere where I have got to know almost every beautician and manicurist they have by now. Most of them are doubling up with multiple duties, meaning they do not focus on just 1 single aspect. So far I have not been choosy to stick to just one single beautician, as I feel its good to keep my options open.



The purpose of my visit was to get my regular facial done. The last time 2 times which I had done my facial in December 2015 and November 2015, was also at the same place, by Bejeweled Singapore, located in Bread Talk Building.



Going for my facial in the same room as I've previously been using for the first two visits. After removing my light make-up, the beautician had carefully inspected my face under the bright light and suggested me to try out the Vagheggi White Moon Treatment for whitening and brightening of my face. She assured me that the facial is suitable for my sensitive skin and will help lighten my pigmentation bringing some moisture and glow back.


As I've mentioned I usually do not interrupt my beautician when they are working on my face. I managed to take a selfie when she turned away for a moment to get water to prepare for the wash off. You can see my eyebrows neatly plucked by now. 

Let me share with you more about the Vagheggi White Moon Treatment. The facial takes about 90 minutes.

The Vagheggi White Moon Treament has 5 main objectives:

1. Prevent and reduce uneven skin colour and blemishes
2. Even skin complexion
3. Smooth skin surface
4. Regulate melanin production

The pimple extraction this round was more painful than the previous as it was done by another beautician (not the one who served me during my first two visits) but the pain was bearable. The beautician was attentive enough to check with me if  I was doing okay. She even asked me about the massage strength and I told her she can use more force.

The relevant Vagheggi White Moon Treatment products were applied on my face, and serum applied with the hand held device. The mask felt itchy when first applied on my skin but went off rather quickly. Her massage skills was so good (or was it because I was having a slight flu), that not long after, I have fallen asleep while relaxing myself inhaling the goodness of the lavender essential oil both used to massage me and diffused in the room.



By now it is already my 4th visit to Bejeweled Singapore. I am loving the consistent good service, attentive and skillful beautician. Kudos for making every experience a happy and pleasant experience.

They feel good on my sensitive skin and smells good too. The products helps in skin repairing and prevents pigmentation. Look at my fresh face after the facial. My face is less sensitive and no longer crack or peel ever since I've been taking good care of them from my daily maintenance, applying face products that moisturizes my skin well and visiting Bejeweled Singapore regularly for my facials.

I don't know about you but being able to care for my hands while doing my hand-wash laundry does sounds like a brilliant idea. Moreover, there is no harmful chemicals to make my hands itch or wrinkle.

I love the Sakina scent that lingered on my lingerie during the soak. My hands tends to be very sensitive on over use of commercial laundry detergent which cause dryness and itchy skin overtime. Kainda Garment Soak on the other hand, is very moisturizing, gentle and easy on both my hands and my lingerie. We are both happy now. My hands are still Sakina scented as I type!



Going Au-natural for my Kainda Delicate Garment Soak. Don't worry I did not wash my hair with the soak, although the scent is very pleasant, it still has the typical laundry detergent smell so I don't wish to smell like that.

Tip: Consider pouring the laundry water over your toilet bowl or toilet floor and give them a good wash. Be happy cause the fragrant will linger your bathroom.

On February 13, one day before the actual Valentine's Day, I celebrated the day with my husband in the afternoon. This is the day where most ladies look forward to receive a nice bouquet of red roses from their loved one. Although I had mentioned that I did not want any this year, I still received one  and like last year, my husband bought the roses for a cause (proceeds were donated to charity). He later surprised me with another bouquet of foam flowers on the actual day.



For our past few years tradition, we usually spend our time feasting, so this time round we tried the buffet at Triple Three at Mandarin Orchard as there was a one for one buffet promotion. We loved the freshly sliced raw salmon the most, followed by the wide range of dessert choices. My husband also had a feasting spree with the chocolate ice-cream Popsicle while I had only one of the strawberry flavored one.




Simple celebrations like this are the best. As they said, its Valentine's Day everyday so long as both of you are deeply in love with each other. We wanted to catch a movie after but was running short of time as I had an event to attend. Oh well, you don't need to wait till Valentine's Day to celebrate your love nor catch a movie together.

On the same day, I also attended the #SSJenDreamcation sample store event where I got to meet up with many of my favorite blogging friends. We spend the evening taking plenty of nice photographs for the lucky draw. Swaying our bodies, enjoying the music and the wind at Hotel Jen.

We munched on light finger food and catch up with life. It was a pity none of the ladies in my gang won anything for ourselves. We were all eyeing for that Hotel Jen Staycation, nevertheless we had fun with the reverse bingo game and horoscope game that Sample Store had especially planned for us.

Life is not all rosy and nice all the time. I do have my down times. Last week, I found myself dropped by an agency for the 3rd time in 3 years for no reason at all. They have missed out sending invitation to me to one of their generic events yet again. How did I realize it? Well this industry is small and my cliques are with that agency as well. I have checked with them the previous time, their reason was that they have forgotten and "left me out".

They have previously approached me to send me something for review, but they never did. Later when they approached me for the 2nd time to confirm, they did not send again. I have even given them my residential address. No reasons were given for why they failed to deliver what they had promised and so I didn't ask further either.

I told myself that if they do not value me as their blogger, I will move on. It is of no use getting upset over it. Such is life, as a blogger, this is what I have to face. Letting go of them is perhaps the best solution. People come and people go. Perhaps a new opportunity will be knocking at my door soon.
