Showing you some unsightly photographs of myself. I think its due to the recent weather, my face has become crazy again! Please steer your attention away from my pimples. Other than that, I think my pigmentation lightens abit though I did not see significant improvements.

I like the packaging and scent of the Dark Spot Corrector. The coca butter makes the concentrated serum smell very appealing and it doesn't feel oily at all. Although not much effects can be witness within a short span of nearly one week.

I love how easily i apply the BB cream over my face, saving me the trouble of having to apply sunscreen since it already has SPF15. It doesn't leave the oily or white sheen on my face and works well with my make up. The best part its that it evens out my skin tone very well and make my face look natural even when I have the BB Cream on. The BB Cream is quite lasting and can last a whole day. It blends nicely with my skin tone. Go for it if you are fair or light skin toned.

Review: My Hydrabrasion Facial experience with GLOMAX Aesthetics

Thanks to the invitation from GLOMAX Aesthetics, I get the opportunity to experience a homely facial, somewhere where I wouldn't imagine myself going, due to its location.

After struggling for awhile to locate the address, I finally found my way to GLOMAX Aesthetics. Most of their facials are by appointments due to the strict security at the building.

I can never imagine a facial salon to be hiding in this building.

After settling myself down with my beautician Yvonne, she did a skin consultation with me and check my skin before she proposed a suitable treatment for my face. Through her, I also found that people with asthma issues are more likely to develop dark eye circles. This could be due to lack of rest? No scientific evidence but 8 out of 10 of her customers have the same issue.

Took some photographs of my face before the facial and treatment commenced. I only used lipstick, basic skincare and sunscreen. I did not apply any foundation on my skin. So, this is my natural skin under the salon's lighting.

Yvonne settled me down in my facial room and proceeded with the facial treatment.

I was recommended with the Microdermabrasion & Hyaluronic Acid Therapy. This treatment is also known as the Hydrabrasion Facial. This treatment promise to give me a clear, crystal skin.

Using an upgraded microdermabrasion that vacuums and washes the skin simultaneously so every pore of my skin is deeply cleaned and decongested. My skin is exfoliated with the diamond microdermabrasion that vacuums out the dirt, combines with an irrigation system that washes out dirt in the pores at one go. No extraction is needed, how convenient.

To maximize the softness and radiance of my delicate skin, the upgraded microdermabrasion wand uses hyaluronic acid at high speed to hydrate and plump up the skin at every pore. My skin feels cooling and clean during the exfoliation process. The whole process is painless and this treatment is suitable for all skin types, even the most sensitive skin like mine (tested & proven).

The results last for weeks.

Like most facials, the first step was to remove all the skincare and make-up from the customer's face. She then proceeded with the skin treatment, pimple extraction and offered to touch up my brows before applying a mask to my face.

You can see the glow and radiance from my face almost immediately during the facial and I could feel my face plumped up with moisture. My skin is always thirsty, I don't know why?

Like most facials nowadays, there was no steaming done before pimple extraction. It was really painful as she extracted the bigger pimples and my chin areas. You can see the redness from my face.

Yvonne was very friendly, chatting with me, putting me at ease and making me feel at home. She checked with me throughout to ensure that I was enduring the pain well, and let me know when she had to leave the room. It was a very pleasant facial experience.

This is the room that I had my facial in. Decently sized and with proper doors, but you still can hear people chatting next door.
Don't be little this small little "home-styled" salon, they have won multiple awards for their facial.

The serum is lightweight but intensive to boost your skin's energy and aims to restore and bring you a radiant complexion. The serum is formulated with anti-aging illuminating complex to limit and correct your skin's imperfection.

Usage Directions:
Apply in the morning and evening on your entire face and neck, avoiding your eye contour. Follow through with regular Sothys cream. You can layer this serum under another serum.

Thoughts:
I have tried the serum and love its light weight texture. It absorbs very fast and leaves my skin feeling recharged, supple and smooth to the touch. The serum also helps to even out skin tone for a more unified complexion. I am quite lucky to be able to get this to try out as it is quite costly in my opinion for a 30ml serum.

I've incorporated it into my daily skincare products as this is the only Sothy product that I owned, but i am glad that they worked well together to give my skin the healthy glow.

Energizing Radiance Ampoules ($49 1ml x2)

Thoughts:
I have not found an opportunity to try the ampoules yet. Trying to save it until my birthday which is coming this week. I'll let you know how it feels like with this 1ml of precious serum being applied on my skin.

Comfortable, spacious, soft lighting and a clutter free environment sets my mind to relax mode when
I entered the hair salon.

The cozy waiting area, for you to wait for your turn if its filled or to wait for that someone special
to finish her hair cut and pick the tab (oh, wishful thinking! You ladies.)

Their hair products are neatly arranged on the shelf. Feel free to take a look and you may find something
you require here.

Upon settling down, the hair stylist will offer you a drink of your choice from the menu.
Don't worry about the drinks, they are complimentary. Charges for your hair services can also be found
on the same menu.

As the environment is air-conditioned, I would recommend a hot drink. I had the TWG Silver moon
tea which was light and refreshing. They served it in a TWG Tea set with the Tea Pot. It looks nice. You can go for hot coffee if you are not a tea drinker like myself.

There were rows of hair products located behind me for easy retrieval.
I settled myself down for consultation with my hair stylist, Stephanie. She explained to me on what I was to be expecting as the final outcome with the magazine of hairstyles in, and seek for my agreement before she proceeded with the hair transformation.

After which, I was ushered to had my hair washed by his male assistant. He kept checking with me for any discomfort which I may feel during the wash. I was surprised that they were using a minty flavored shampoo and he explained that it was supposed to make customers feel more relaxed during the scalp massage.

During my chat with Stephanie, she shared that there are about 5 hair stylist at the moment, 1 male and the rest are females. It is quite unusual as we tend to see more male stylist around then female ones. Here, the assistants
are male. Do note that they take turns to have their off days, so do make an appointment before heading down.

Here you have a picture of my straight and black hair after my hair wash. Stephanie then proceed to tidy up my hair by snipping some frizzy ends off. I can't wait to see the final outcome.

A series of things that happened during the 2 hours+ span of time from washing my hair, snipping the frizzy ends,
drying my hair, applying chemical products, rolling my hair. Then they used this "alien machine" a.k.a
the hair perming machine to perm my hair. Wow.. it was quite a long process but its all going to be worth the effort right?

You may like to break for a moment before they get those rolls up your head to visit the washroom or you'll be stranded till your hair is ready.

The busy salon nearer to the evening as I was done and ready to go.
Overall, the experience was a really pleasant and fuss free one, with a nice and comfortable ambiance.
So just to show you some before and after photographs before you leave my blog.

My hair was looking like this before I headed to the Comb Salon. Not too bad actually, as I had a hair cut about 1 month back? My hair is naturally straight by the way, although I have rebonded it like 2 years back due to the "dent" caused by hair ties. I really couldn't take it anymore.

So I really want to look different post 30s? I wanted a more mature, demure and lady like hair yet I still like the idea of a fuzz free, easy to maintain look. Under Stephanie's magic fingers, it was achievable.

Now, the final result. Do you like my new hair style? I really love it and have gotten compliments from my friends. Stephanie was really nice to share tips with me on how to maintain these curls as well. She mentioned that they can last 3-6 months if I do take proper care of them. Well, maybe until the next hair sponsorship comes along?

My side view looks great as well, in fact from all angles I really loved those curls! Not too small like a Maggie Noodle head, not too big until they weren't wavy enough.

I couldn't get enough of my new look and got more photographs taken at home. I wish to thank Rachel, Stephanie, her assistant and everyone else for making this hairdo a great one and of course, not forgetting the very personalized look. Thanks for creating the exact dreamy waves I've always wanted. The staff were also friendly, sensitive and attentive during my visit.
