Travel to & Stay in Pattaya, Thailand.

4/09/2015

Every year in October, my husband will try to bring me somwhere new. As both of us love to travel and met in the travel industry, it always bring back beautiful and fond memories. We also take the chance to bond and catch up with the travel scene.

This trip took place in 2014 sometime during our wedding anniversary. He took me to Pattaya. Though its not somewhere new for me, I have never stayed in this resort before.

About the resort
Cape Dara Resort is a 5-Star Hotel and Beach Resort in Pattaya, Thailand.
They market themself as a 5-Star Hotel, in a 6 Star location located in North Pattaya.

Look at our awesome room in Cape Dara Resort Pattaya. They even have complimentry floral and swan decoration arranged nicely on our bed.

This must be the most awesome and spectacular view I have from my bathtub! It's as if I am bathing right in the middle of the vast ocean.

Our room comes with a handy kettle and complimentry mineral water.

Walk out to the balcony, and you can see the sun and the sea staring at you. Splendid views!

Their pool is located behind the lobby area. Its one great place to indulge in a swim.

Walk further down the lobby through the stairs and that would bring you to the beach along the resort.

As we head out for dinner, we find ourselves indulging in some simple BBQ seafood pleasures. Like this plate of giant prawns along the street that was going for only 200B.

We also ordered the BBQ squid which comes with a citrusy lime and chilly dip.

We tried the huge chicken kebab stick too, there was just too much food to finish for the both of us.

Fried chicken for you?

Somewhere nearby the food street, we spotted the all so yummy mango glutinous rice.
So we bought some back to the resort to enjoy. We love mango! Although i am not a fan of glutinous rice, my husband will finish it anyways.

Whenever we travel, we seem to be travelling to zoo around the world, so here we are at Sriracha Tiger Zoo.

You can book your zoo tickets online before you fly off from your country, the tickets will cover your ride from the Zoo to your resort/hotel, and they even have lunch options included. This will save you some hazzle.

The Sri Racha Tiger Zoo covers 250 rai in Tambon Nong Kham, Siracha District.(Pattaya) It is established with the intention to conserve and breed wildlife such as the Bengal Tiger which is the identity of Asia. Which is also the highlight of our trip to Pattaya other than the relaxing resort.

The zoo now has over 200 Bengal tigers. There is also a crocodile farm, the
elephant museum, animal breeding learning centre, and animal training centre within the zoo.
The zoo features the tiger show, pig show, elephant show and the crocodile show.
So do plan your schedule to accomodate all show timings so you won't have to miss any of them.

Here's a photo of a lovely deer, looking up.

Mary's little lamb.. i mean Billy's goat.

While you are here, you can check out their animal shows. We managed to check out the pigs race and pig calculation. Pigs are clever afterall, as they can do simple calculation within single digits.

Catch the interesting elephants show where they pop ballons, play basket ball and massage humans. These gentle giants are so lovely to watch.

Do check out the scorpion lady while you are there, do you see those black things on her dress? They are real scorpions and yes, they are ALIVE.

We managed to catch the crocodile show too. Do you know that before the show, these people will do a prayer dance so that they will minimise the risk of getting themselves hurt by the crocodile.

Later, we caught the Tiger show! It was quite a spectacular view to see these majestic animals perfrom for you. The circus performance have been banned in Singapore for sometime now, so this was something we looked forward to.

Do remember to take a photo with the "friendly" Tigers with a fee, as a momento before you leave the zoo. You won't get a chance like this in many parts of the world. The photograph looked so awkard because my husband was afraid that the Tiger will suddenly turn and bite.

Or else you can try carrying and take photo with the small kittens, i mean tiger cubs.

Catch the Donkey near the entrance on your way out.

Or the family of camels munching on their food.

I hope you have enjoyed reading my pattaya travelling adventure! Hope to be able to write and share with you more... till next time.
